HILTON VILLAGE

Hilton is high on the escarpment overlooking Pietermaritzburg. It is rural but at the same time, close to the amenities of city life in Pietermaritzburg and Durban.

Hilton BnB, situated as it is in the heart of Hilton village, is conveniently placed for access to Hilton College, St Annes, Cowan House , Cordwalles Prep School, Cedara Agricultural College, Grace  College, Wykeham Collegiate, Maritzburg College, and Maritzburg College for Girls.

It is also not far from Michaelhouse and Weston Agricultural College. The village itself has all the necessary amenities such as shops, restaurants, beauty salons and a gym.  Pietermaritzburg is only about 15 minutes away and it takes about an hour to drive to Durban.

World’s View, around the corner from our bed and breakfast, with its panoramic overview of Pietermaritzburg, is fast becoming the preferred site for world class BMX and MTB racing in South Africa.

Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend for two, a relaxing midweek break or a week far from the 'madding crowds' the tranquillity of the neighbourhood and the wealth of tourist options nearby make the Hilton BnB an ideal choice.

There are several game farms and dams nearby. For an avid birder, there’s more to tick off on your list and for the fishing aficionados, there are catch and release fish farms.  Golfing gluttons have a choice of links at the Victoria Country Club and Sakabula, or further afield, there’s the Boschhoek and Gowrie courses.

And of course, there’s some serious shopping along the Midlands Meander, with its numerous of arts and crafts studios and boutiques.

After you’re exhausted from the activities or just wake up hungry, critically acclaimed Cooking Bear restaurant is further up in the Meander, the local Bustles Café has started a themed Friday night dinner, try the only Polish restaurant in South Africa, or just go around the corner to the Crossways Complex.
